Cooking & Reheating Instructions
Fresh Whole Turkeys
Remove turkey from packaging and clear out the inner cavity. Rinse, pat dry and stuff your turkey, then rub it with butter or olive oil and season it to your liking. Be generous with salt and herbs! Roast the turkey in your oven until you reach an internal temperature of 165°F. If you’re roasting your turkey at 325°F, it will take approximately 20 minutes per lb. A stuffed turkey takes slightly longer to cook than an unstuffed bird. Remember to rest your meat for 15-30 minutes before carving! This will keep it moist and delicious.
Ready-Set-Roast Turkey Trays
When you order a Ready-Set-Roast turkey tray, you get a whole turkey that has been expertly butchered into individual sections and deboned for your convenience. This means less cooking time and the same tender, delicious roast turkey you get when you roast a whole bird.
All you need to do is add oil or butter, season with your favourite turkey seasoning, add sprigs of thyme and place in the oven. Cook at 375°F until breast and thigh reach an internal temp of 78°C or 171°F.
- Estimated cook time for small tray: 1-1.5 hours at 375°F
- Estimated cook time for medium tray: 1-1.5 hours at 375°F
- Estimated cook time for large tray: 1.5-2.25 hours at 375°F
- Estimated cook time for extra large tray: 1.75-2.75 hours at 375°F
Cooked Turkeys
Place your cooked turkey into a roasting pan with about 1/4" of liquid in the pan (broth or even water). Tent one corner of the foil to let steam out—you don't want your turkey skin getting soggy from excess moisture. Warm in the oven at 300°F until your turkey has reached an internal temperature of 130-140°F. Once you're approaching this temperature, remove the foil to crisp up the skin before carving and serving. Enjoy!
Prepared Side Dishes
With a lid or tinfoil covering the top of your cooking vessel, place your gourmet prepared vegetables in a 250°F oven until you reach an internal temperature of 165°F. Enjoy!
Prime Rib Roast, Beef Tenderloin and Rack of Lamb
Rub your roast in olive oil and season with your preferred herbs and spices. We recommend adding a few cloves of garlic and some fresh rosemary for added flavour (ideal if you’re making gravy as well). In a 350°F/176°C oven, cook to your desired temperature (see chart below).
- 120°F/49°C for Rare
- 132°F/56°C for Medium-Rare
- 40°F/60°C for Medium
- 155°F/68°C for Well Done
Rest well before carving and serving. Enjoy!
Pork Roast
Oil and season your roast using your favourite herbs and spices. Place in a roasting pan and cook uncovered at 325°F for 25-30 minutes per pound (55-60 minutes per kg). Roast until you’ve reached an internal temperature of 155°F (160°F after resting). Carve and enjoy.
Bone-In Ham
Score fat in a diamond pattern. Rub with a mixture of brown sugar, dijon mustard and your favourite seasonings. Add cloves, orange slices or sliced pineapple if you want to add even more flavour. Heat in a 325°F oven until you reach an internal temperature of 160°F. Slice and serve with your favourite holiday side dishes.
Boneless Ham
Rub your ham with brown sugar, dijon mustard and any spices you’d like to add. Baste with apple juice or a ham glaze if desired. Heat in a 325°F oven until you reach an internal temperature of 160°F. Slice, serve and enjoy.
